In 1994, he founded Heron Dance, a newsletter then book publisher, that explored the human search for meaning, the human connection to the natural world and creativity. Rod retired from Heron Dance a few years ago, but copies remain of his works. Rod believes that perhaps each human life is fed by the underground spring of a few experiences, that when we are there, we touch something beyond words, and that they make us who we are.
